QUIT SMOKING- START BREATHING

The Benefits of Quitting Smoking

Smoking is a world wide phenomenon and has been the leading cause in various cancers for years. There are many reasons why one should stop smoking but above, there are six benefits of what happens when you stop smoking. There is not a single population that is affected by this as i said before it is a world wide issue affects those from 14 years to 100 years old. By quitting smoking you all yourself to save money, reduce health risks and your body starts feeling better.

After studying the EPPM model and looking at both the threat and efficacy focus i chose one if each to study further.

Threat focus: Severity
The severity of smoking is a massive problem in the world and has caused many to become addicted to the nicotine within the cigarettes. It affects your lungs, brain, heart and many more vital organs within the body. By quitting you allow these organs to return back to performing at full force.

Efficacy focus: Response efficacy
There are various posters and commercial you'll see on a daily basis about the side affects of smoking and how bad smoking actually is for you. All of them show before and afters of the harm that smoking can do to your body and you should stop so you don't experience the side effects

Both of these focuses can help smoking realize that smoking is a serious issue and by smoking you are likely to experience the negative side effects. By realizing how serious smoking is, it should help those who do smoke realize they should consider quitting before they are effected. It would also help smokers realize that the posters and commercials they see are true and by quitting they can avoid being another statistic who now has a medical condition from smoking.
